“Positive and proactive with and without the ball – Here to excite, here to create”
Introduction
Who is Craig Large?
I’m a UEFA ‘A’ licensed football and Advanced Youth Award qualified coach with an MSc in Sport Coaching from Leeds Beckett University. For over 23 years, I’ve dedicated my career to unlocking potential—helping players, teams, and communities grow stronger, smarter, and more united. My passion lies in creating opportunities where people can thrive and succeed.
My coaching philosophy is built on positivity and progress. I’ve developed a deep understanding of what it takes to inspire growth and achieve success—on and off the pitch. By crafting game models tailored to each team and establishing methodologies that shape players into leaders, I create pathways for personal and collective achievement. I believe in the power of the individual to transform the team and in the team to elevate the community.
I’ve worked with players of all ages, from 3 to 30+, in elite and grassroots settings. Whether igniting a child’s love for the game or guiding a player toward their goals, each moment has been a privilege. Every step of my journey has reaffirmed my belief in the limitless potential within every player and team.
I see challenges as opportunities and approach every day with excitement and optimism. My ability to connect with others, combined with a mindset focused on growth, helps me build trust, inspire confidence, and lead with purpose. Coaching is my passion, and I’m always eager to learn, innovate, and make a positive impact.
This is my story, but it’s just the beginning. What’s yours? Let’s connect, share ideas, and inspire each other. Together, we can create a brighter future for players and teams, as well as for the beautiful game we love.

“I'm going to tell you the story about the geese which fly 5,000 miles from Canada to France. They fly in V-formation but the second ones don't fly. They're the subs for the first ones. And then the second ones take over - so it's teamwork.”
— Sir Alex Ferguson —
“Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.”
— Vince Lombardi —
